Four Main Hair Types That Lordhair Provides

Lordhair provides several different types of hair. Four main types of hair are widely used in hair replacement systems - Normal human hair, Remy hair, European hair and Synthetic hair.

The main type of human hair used in hair replacement systems is Indian hair.

We utilize the finest quality Indian hair in most of our hair replacement systems. The texture is very smooth and soft. Genetically, Indian hair is very similar to Caucasian hair in its basic structure.

With fine follicles, Indian hair is highly adaptable to color and texture processing. It holds curls perfectly and works very well with all ethnicities. Indian hair is widely available and the standard in the wig and hair replacement industries.

Ordinary Indian hair is collected on mass, where the hair lies disorganized in all directions. At this stage the cuticle layer is still in place, but unless the cuticle layers are all facing in the same direction, the hair would tangle and you would not be able to use it. In order to use this hair, it is necessary to remove the cuticles, which prevents it from tangling when used in hair replacement systems.

The ordinary Indian human hair is a great entry level option and represents excellent value for money. It is also perfect for those clients who change their hair replacement systems frequently, switching to a new system before the signs of wear & tear begin to surface.

Remy hair is also human hair, but the difference is how it's processed. Remy hair is gathered from the head of donors in such a way as to keep the hair’s cuticles properly aligned in relation to its neighboring hairs. This means all the hair runs in the same direction, not opposite directions. The hair remains softer and silkier, and is useful in producing higher-quality hair systems. Throughout the entire manufacturing process, the hair is carefully kept in order.

Virgin hair is the raw hair from a donor's head, non-permed, non-colored and non-processed at all. Virgin hair keeps the original hair color of the donor. Once the hair color is changed, it's not virgin hair in a strict sense, but actually Remy hair. Therefore, Remy hair is not necessarily virgin hair, since it may be colored or permed. Its defining features are an intact cuticle and the manner in which it was harvested.

Remy hair can be Indian Remy or Chinese Remy and is good for long hair systems.

Lordhair can also make your order with REAL EUROPEAN HAIR.

European hair is considered as the softest and finest one among all hair types. It is silky and feels sleek; you can get a very natural movement. All our European hair is unprocessed virgin hair, with all cuticles intact and hair in the same direction.

However, not all lengths of our European hair are available, please consult us before placing an order if you need a hair length longer than 8 inches.

To keep the hair in good condition, we usually use the original color of the hair to match your hair color, so there might be a slight color difference if you choose European hair.

Synthetic hair is simply very fine plastic filaments made primarily of modacrylic fibers that have the look and feel of real hair. We stock a huge variety of the finest synthetic hair fibers available. You can choose from shiny or matte, and soft or coarse. Although we do not recommend artificial hair, in some rare instances it is requested. We use only the finest synthetic hair, manufactured by Kanaka Fugi, Japan.

Synthetic hair is very easy to wear and requires little maintenance. Unlike human hair, the synthetic fibers need minimal or no styling after washing. Shorter synthetic hair styles are often referred to as "Shake & Go", meaning that all you do is shake them out and they look great. Longer styles may simply need to be combed or finger styled.

Generally, one important thing to remember is to avoid heat sources when wearing synthetic hair, i.e. hair dryers, curling or straightening irons, even an open oven may ruin the fiber. Also, synthetic hair can be easily damaged by friction. Constant friction from a pillowcase, or wearing hats and helmets can cause the hair to deteriorate and result in a frizzy appearance.

With proper care, the life of synthetic hair is good and can last between 1-2 years. Synthetic hair is much less prone to oxidation compared to human hair, so the color will last longer as it's more resilient to the damaging effects of UV rays.

Synthetic hair is also a very popular option if you have a percentage of gray hair mixed with your natural color because it will not absorb the hair dye if your system is colored.
